RLR Lawyers welcomes Rachelle Loos

RLR Lawyers welcomes Rachelle Loos

We are delighted to announce that Rachelle Loos (née Trenholm) has joined the firm. Rachelle graduated from the University of Victoria, Faculty of Law, where she focused her legal studies on Aboriginal Law, Indigenous Law, and First Nations legal issues. She articled with us and gained practice experience advising and representing Indigenous clients on a range of legal matters, including employment conflicts, business incorporation, drafting and reviewing First Nation Land Codes under the First Nation Land Management Act, and modern Treaty negotiations.

Rachelle is a member of Homalco First Nation and has family ties to the Kwakwaka’wakw Nation. We are excited to add her creativity and ability to our Aboriginal, Indigenous, and First Nations Law practice group. Rachelle plans to continue to focus her law practice on assisting First Nation governments and individuals. Her services will include advising First Nations governments on jurisdictional and law-making matters, including the management of their territories in a manner consistent with customary rules and practices, principles and obligations as well as providing strategic advice on economic opportunities.

Rachelle will also offer assistance to First Nation governments and individuals looking for help in family law, employment law, and wills and estate law matters, and she looks forward to assisting Indigenous entrepreneurs and business owners in reaching their goals.

You can learn more about Rachelle and how to contact her at the firm HERE.
