Congratulations to our colleague, Shane Landreville, on earning the prestigious TEP designation!

Congratulations to our colleague, Shane Landreville, on earning the prestigious TEP designation!

Ramsay Lampman Rhodes associate, Shane Landreville completed the STEP Diploma in Trusts and Estates, in August of this year. STEP credentials are respected qualifications that combine academic and practical training. They confirm that solicitors, like Shane, are well-versed in current issues related to trusts and estates and follow strict professional and ethical standards. A TEP designation signifies that clients can be confident they receive advice and guidance from a highly qualified practitioner who follows current best practices and considers up-to-date developments in trusts and estates law.

To achieve this designation, practitioners must complete the rigorous STEP Diploma, which includes demonstrating proficiency in a curriculum that includes:

  • Trust drafting and administration
  • Administration Estates and Incapacity Planning
  • Taxation of Trusts and Estates, and
  • Trust and Estate Accounting.

After extensive independent study, they must pass an exam for each module. Additionally, candidates must have at least two years of relevant professional experience before they can be granted Full Membership. We congratulate Shane on his diligence and success in achieving this milestone in his legal career.

We are also proud to note that Shane is currently the only lawyer on mid to North Vancouver Island with this designation. Shane’s TEP qualifications provide an additional foundation for delivering excellent service and support to our clients in securing their financial futures.
