RLR Opens new Courtenay Full-service Law Office at Riverwalk Centre

RLR Opens new Courtenay Full-service Law Office at Riverwalk Centre

As one of Vancouver Island’s largest law firms, Ramsay Lampman Rhodes understands what it means to be connected to the communities we serve. This connection translates into every aspect of our law practice – and it begins with our motto: Legal Excellence, Island Values.

RLR’s commitment to community is what distinguishes us from others explains managing partner Peter Behie, K.C.. “Our firm has demonstrated over many years of community service a commitment to the communities in which we work. We support local businesses, sports teams, and the arts, and we understand what it means for them to be on the Island.”

We are excited to announce that we are set to expand even further, with a new Comox Valley office opening on May 16, 2019, at Riverwalk Centre, #211-1978 Cliffe Avenue in Courtenay.

Beginning with an office in Nanaimo, RLR formed 40 years ago and has since expanded to serve the Mid and North Island opening a second office in Port Alberni in 2012. Since opening our doors, the firm has grown steadily in both size and services to meet the need for legal services connected to the growth and densification of Vancouver Island. We are excited to announce that we are set to expand even further, with a new Comox Valley office opening on May 16, 2019, at Riverwalk Centre, #211-1978 Cliffe Avenue in Courtenay. The firm already has clients in the Comox Valley, so opening an office in Courtenay made sense.

As Peter notes, “The Comox Valley is booming, and the demand for legal services is increasing, so we saw it as a good time to consider the move. The Riverwalk Centre, where we have acquired space, is pre-eminent – probably the best commercial building in Courtenay – so when that opportunity came up we thought it was timely to make a further commitment to our clients that are already there and hopefully work with many others.”

Dylan Kozlick is a partner with RLR and is one of three lawyers who will work out of the new Courtenay office. Born and raised in the Comox Valley, Dylan focuses on personal injury law and estate litigation. Lisa Low (née Sulek), a senior associate at the firm who handles commercial litigation matters, has lived in the Comox Valley for over 30 years. Lisa will also be working out of the new office. In addition, the firm welcomes the arrival of experienced solicitor Nadia Rowe, a business lawyer with significant expertise in transaction and land work, who will be moving to the Valley when the office opens.

We believe the new Courtenay location will allow RLR to provide a broader range of services to help clients with matters such as complex land developments, wealth transfer issues for individuals and businesses, access to senior personal injury law practitioners for accident victims, as well as strategic support for the growth and development of businesses. We will continue to work with existing clients and provide services to new clients while offering support on a wider spectrum of legal issues.

We look forward to welcoming clients (current and new) to the new Courtenay office. For more information contact Peter Behie, K.C. or give us a call at 250.871.1114.
