Biography
Braydon is an associate in the Nanaimo office of Ramsay Lampman Rhodes, where he maintains a general solicitor’s practice.
In the area of business law, Braydon draws on his background in business and accounting to advise clients across a wide spectrum of matters, from incorporations and corporate governance to shareholder agreements, business transactions, financing, and contract issues. In real estate and estate law, he assists clients with property transactions, co-ownership arrangements, easements, wills, powers of attorney, and estate administration.
Braydon was born and raised in the Ottawa Valley and completed his undergraduate studies in Montreal, where he enjoyed practicing his French and exploring the city by bicycle. After visiting a friend in British Columbia, he fell in love with the mountains and ocean and decided to move to Vancouver to study law.
While in law school, Braydon held an executive position with the UBC Varsity Outdoors Club, where he organized and led volunteer projects to build and maintain outdoor infrastructure in the mountains, met with government and other stakeholders to advocate for improved access to the outdoors, and organized weekly ocean swims and bonfires to build community.
He completed his final semester on exchange at the University of Edinburgh, where he built lasting friendships with lawyers and other professionals across Europe and travelled to 16 countries by train.
Prior to becoming a lawyer, Braydon worked a variety of jobs throughout his schooling, from long days on a farm to serving and bartending in small restaurants, giving him firsthand insight into the hard work involved in building and maintaining a small business.
Outside of work, Braydon enjoys performing music at local venues or around a campfire, reading historical books, and exploring the outdoors of Vancouver Island.
