Biography
Matt Landry is a litigation associate in the Ramsay Lampman Rhodes Nanaimo office. He maintains a general litigation practice focused on a wide variety of areas, including commercial, defamation, real property, debt, and more. Matt takes a client-centered approach to civil disputes and will help you navigate your legal journey with clear, comprehensive, and empathetic legal advocacy and advice.
Matt is committed to resolving disputes effectively and cost-efficiently. He understands that being involved in litigation can be a stressful and difficult experience and approaches each case with clarity and compassion, recognizing that every matter is unique.
Matt was called to the bar in 2026, and joined RLR as an associate after previously articling with the firm. He graduated from the University of Victoria Law School in 2025. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Vancouver Island University, where he was awarded the President’s Scholarship for Continuing Students and graduated with distinction in 2018.
During law school, Matt participated in the UVic co-operative education program where he worked for multiple employers, building a solid foundation in the legal profession. He also spent a term volunteering at the UVic Legal Clinic, where he gained hands-on advocacy experience serving clients with complex legal needs.
Matt brings a diverse working background to his practice. Before Law School, Matt worked for the Government of British Columbia and for the Legislative Assembly. He also spent time working as a baker and a construction worker.
Born and raised in Nanaimo, Matt is proud to practice law in his home community. Outside the office, Matt enjoys rock climbing, weightlifting and can often be found playing board games with friends and family.
